Tim Carlin is the Houston Landing's civic engagement reporter. An Ohio native, Tim comes to Houston after spending a year in Greenville, South Carolina, covering Greenville County government for The Greenville News. There, he examined his beat through a resident-focused lens, highlighting concerns about Greenville County’s rapid growth and the censorship of LGBTQ+ materials in the county’s library system. Tim received a bachelor’s degree in journalism and American studies from Miami University of Ohio – Go Redhawks! When not at work, Tim enjoys watching too much reality TV, solving crossword puzzles and frequenting local coffee shops.
